The search for a smooth gaited horse to ride resulted in the acquisition of our registered Paso Fino mare and filly. The bay mare, Delecia del Greco, Dilly for short, has been bred to Champions from the show ring.  Her filly, which we purchased with her, La Mancha de Veleta, Lil for short, a dark bay tovero pinto is now in Switzerland.

Dilly's next  offspring , 2003 a beautiful light bay with dark bay legs, Cola Bella, had her preliminary training with Shaw Laney, and then came home and  did more work with me on trails and just maturing. She has a very affectionate disposition, very willing to learn and act.   I  sent her to Angel Flores at Hacienda Radiante in Virginia during the 2007 Summer.  She became a performance filly in the two months Angel worked with her.  We showed her in Murfreesboro, Tenn. In August 2007 in the performance filly classes.   It was a first experience for her and me.  To our surprise and delight we came home with ribbons in our classes and even yellow ribbons in the championship classes.  We went on to show  in October 07 at the Lexington, VA show in the performance mare classes.  We came home again with ribbons and enough points for her to go on to Nationals in 2008.

Cola only has had 2 months of professional training and has done remarkable.  We are still deciding on this years schedule.

Isabella la Delecia born 2005 is a beautiful  black filly with bay highlights in her mane and tail.  She went with Angel Flores in the Fall of 2007 to go under saddle.  She's been home with me just out riding this winter.  Izzy is taller than Cola, and has power she hasn't even tapped into.

April 2007, Dilly gave us Contessa la Delecia.  We  bred Dilly to Padre Diego, a paint with a wonderful gait from West Virginia.  Contessa is a light bay with dark bay legs and one small spot of white on her forehead.  She is showing us a very smooth gait and long legs.   She is really sweet and loving.

The Paso Fino is becoming much more  known in the horse world.  Having now owned and raised them we can see why.  The ride on a Paso Fino is incredibly smooth and exciting.  Check out our Paso farm  pictures to see our girls.
